AnimeNews Online!
Most people may have noticed that AnimeNews is now online in the forum and the main page. RSS also added but its still a bit buggy to use (no content mini-text within XML record). The latest AnimeNews are also listed in the right menu when not in main page. AnimePlanet.gr is looking for AnimeNews editors, please PM me or holborn to submit your application.
Lots of fixes
Alot of them for Firefox browser. XHTML can be a pain when resizing tables on-the-fly (such as in animenews, globalnews etc.). This is now fixed by using a real-time javascript resizer for these tables. Also a lot of optimization happened to various MySQL tables (dont ever think AP database is small).
"Wall of Fame"? Sure...
Our database has many, many statistics based on member actions. Making use of those can generate a "Wall of Fame", which is under development and will display the TOP users distributing information on the website (titles, reviews, screenshots, words and videos when they get online and working). Estimate: Unknown... (MySQL statements for this is a huge pain, many JOINs, SUMs and ORDERs).
Anime Videos is beginning to take shape
Well, still working on it. But it just started look like a module. Lots of things to add still, will update when I have something additional to report (currently working on "anime title" linking). |
